2:05AM - Last car in line (#58) checked in; we began at midnight. Around 70 clients. Now the hard part: staying awake until dawn.
3:00AM - Guy showed up in a 29ā long ranch truck that blasted out Ode to Joy as his backup alarm. No joke. Took him 5 tries to square into his parking space, making friends amongst those formerly sleeping next to him every time. š
4:50AM - Elixir of the gods arrives in coffee form. There is much rejoicing.
6:15AM - Sunrise and the first clients are being seen for dentistry, vision and general medical. 95 cars, around 120 people with need. I have turned authority over to my relief and am searching for breakfast.
Target acquired - burritos!
Chowing down then off to bed so I can repeat this again tonight. I did take the time to pray for the providers in every room that they would exhibit skill and wisdom today. Iām glad to be a small part of this team, once again.
