Last year I unloaded my Jeep to vacuum in corners unseen for ten years. In the process I decided to array my loadout kit for a photo.
Yeah, that’s a lot of stuff. Unrecognized are the bars of silver in the Ballistic Wampum bag and the seemingly small entirety of the blue trauma bag at the top. My goal has always been
Ability to start a small regional war
Ability to end a small regional war
I sent this photo to a few friends. One replied with a photo of a teddy bear in his daughter’s car seat holding a keg of beer and the other with a seemingly ominous warning that I was “in a dark place.”1
An Opportunity
A good friend in my tribe sent me a link to a pdf titled “The Complete Vehicle Ops Handbook” by author and lecturer Jason Hanson. Jason runs SpyBriefingGear.com and not only sells useful materials but holds training events in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.
He was kind enough to allow me to share the file with you so here it is!
Jason’s work is a fantastic resource to get you going to maximize your self-reliance when you’re away from home. My wife recently went shopping and was having a hard time fitting the usual gallon jugs of mustard from Costco into her SUV so she briefly had the thought “Why am I carrying around all this gear?” She then answered her own question with “So I have what I need when I need it.” This is a useful exercise we should all return to periodically!
Enjoy Jason’s book and if/when you find something missing from your vehicle be sure to act on obtaining it as immediately as you can. (I’m ordering the survival bucket cover!)
Final Thought
I ghosted them both, I have no time for such nonsense
